Investigator-initiated studies (ISS) and grants are competitive. Submissions are accepted anytime via the iit-grant@caredx.com email, but will be reviewed on a quarterly basis and scored against other submissions during that quarter. Priority will be given in the following order:

Clinical Utility: Decisions Documented use of the test to make decisions that impact patient care, (i.e., the decision to lower immunosuppression), etc.
Physician Acceptance Publications demonstrating use in patient but fall short of utility.
Clinical Validity Demonstration that the test really measures an analyte related to a clinical condition (i.e., rejection).
Clinical Utility: Outcomes Use of the test in clinical practice results in improved outcomes—fewer biopsies, longer survival, etc.

Health Economic studies with use of non-invasive tools vs. invasive measures will also be strongly considered.

CareDx is always interested in potential research collaboration as well. Please send inquiries on research collaboration to iit-grant@caredx.com.

Notifications regarding ISS acceptance will be sent after the quarterly Research Committee meetings. Conditional approvals at that time are pending contract and budget negotiations. Submissions not approved in a given quarter may be resubmitted in a future quarter.

All submissions and documents must be submitted in English.

All submissions should include a completed budget using the budget template found here.

Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS)
